Trekking Porter Policy

Manaslu Trek highly values the hard work of our porters, as we recognize that without them, our trips would not be possible. We have established guidelines for ethical trekking and urge our clients to treat our porters with the same respect they would expect to receive.

To guarantee our porters' protection from cold, rain, and snow, we provide them with appropriate clothing for the nature of the trip. Our trekking porters are also fully insured for medical care and accidental insurance. We enforce a maximum weight limit of 25 kg per porter, as we believe in ethical treatment and do not want to overload them. We take pride in providing employment opportunities for local people and treating them with the utmost respect.
